Dedicated to Lord Krishna as Venugopala (the divine flute player), the temple once stood in the village of Kannambadi, which was submerged during the construction of the KRS Dam in the early 20th century.
In a remarkable feat of preservation, the Khoday Foundation took up the task of relocating and reconstructing the temple in 2000. The structure was carefully rebuilt stone by stone at Hosa Kannambadi, around 1 km from the dam site. Today, it stands as a breathtaking example of devotion meeting architectural excellence.
