The Statue of Equality, also known as the Ramanuja Statue, is one of the tallest sitting statues in the world, located at Muchintal near Shamshabad, Hyderabad, Telangana. This 216-feet statue was built in honor of Sri Ramanujacharya, the great 11th-century Bhakti saint and social reformer who preached the values of equality and universal brotherhood. The statue is part of a grand spiritual complex that includes 108 Divya Desams (temples) replicated in intricate detail. The Statue of Equality visiting hours are from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekends. The entry fee is ₹150 for adults and ₹75 for children, with additional charges for laser shows and special attractions. The site is easily accessible from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Shamshabad), just about 10 km away, making it a must-visit cultural and spiritual landmark in Hyderabad.
