Talakona Waterfalls — Andhra Pradesh's Tallest Waterfall
Tucked inside the Sri Venkateswara National Park, Talakona is the tallest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh, plunging nearly 270 feet through dense tropical forest. Despite being one of the most spectacular natural attractions near Tirupati, it receives a fraction of the visitors that Tirumala does — making it an ideal escape for nature lovers.
The forest around Talakona is a treasure chest of biodiversity. Panthers, spotted deer, sloth bears, and over 200 species of birds have been spotted here. The trek through the forest to reach the falls is itself a rewarding experience, with medicinal herb gardens and tribal heritage spots along the way.
